Are these lights going to brighten up the whole room?
Fofa Haus lights are designed to create a soft, ambient glow. They are not meant to fully light an entire room but to serve as accent pieces that add warmth and atmosphere. Their purpose is to change the vibe of a space, not flood it with brightness.
Are these medical lamps?
Fofa Haus lights are not medical or therapeutic devices. They’re designed for mood, atmosphere, and creative expression. Light and color are known to influence how we feel and focus, and our intentionally subtle designs offer a small microdose of light that encourages calm, presence, and intention. It’s not about treatment, it’s about shaping an environment that supports how you want to feel.
What parts can I swap out at home?
It depends on your base generation. With Gen 2 (Base 86), the shade can be swapped, but the lens is permanently affixed into the base. With Gen 3LT (Base 87) and Gen 3 (Base 88), both the shade and the lens can be swapped out at home.
All shades are compatible with Gen 2 and later models, so you can refresh your look without replacing the entire lamp.
How are the shades made?
Each shade is designed using professional CAD software and 3D printed in our studio with recycled PLA filament. This process allows for precision, consistency, and reduced material waste.
Can I change the color or brightness of the light?
Color changing is available on Gen 3LT (Base 87) and Gen 3 (Base 88).
Dimming is available on the wireless Gen 3LT (Base 87) and Gen 3 (Base 88).
All Fofa Haus lamps are designed as a microdose of light. They are not meant to brighten a full room, but to create a soft, intentional glow that helps you slow down and stay present.
That said, the next generation (Gen 3) will introduce magnetic color lenses that can be easily swapped at home. Giving you more ways to shape your light while keeping the same clean, minimal design.
How long are the cords?
Each cord is 6 feet long and includes a built-in switch for easy access.
What bulbs do they take, and are they replaceable?
The Collection 86 lamps use an E12 LED bulb that should last more than six years with regular use. The bulb is replaceable by gently removing the rubber grommet and pulling out the socket. Always unplug your lamp before changing the bulb.
Do you take custom design orders for shades?
As of now, we do not take custom shade design orders, but it is something we plan to explore in the future.
Can I leave the light on for days straight?
While the LED bulb produces very little heat and uses minimal energy, we recommend turning your lamp off when it’s not in use. This ensures both safety and longevity for the components.
What does Fofa Haus have planned for the future?
We plan to stay ahead of the curve while listening closely to our customers, without losing who we are as a brand. That means keeping unnecessary tech out of our products, keeping the experience personal, and always putting well being first.
Are the lamps made by hand?
Yes. Every Fofa Haus light is designed, built, and shipped from our small studio in Rochester, New York. Each piece is inspected and assembled by hand to ensure quality and consistency.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we ship within the United States. We plan to expand international shipping as our production scales.
What if my light arrives damaged?
If your lamp arrives damaged, please contact us right away at info@fofahaus.com with photos of the issue. We’ll make it right as quickly as possible.
Are your materials sustainable?
We do our best to make mindful choices. Our shades are 3D printed with recycled PLA, a plant-based biodegradable material. Our wood bases are sourced from trusted local suppliers and finished with low-VOC, non-toxic coatings.
How long do the wireless lights stay on?
On a full charge, the wireless models provide a strong, consistent glow for approximately 6 to 8 hours.
How are the wireless models powered?
Our wireless bases are rechargeable and powered through a USB C port.
To help reduce waste, we do not include a charging cable with each lamp, as many customers already have one. If needed, USB C cables are available for purchase on our website.
